Iker Oihan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Eufrasio in the 31st minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Fray Luis Beltrán:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flautateam:s goal. When Ciro Balasi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Fray Luis Beltrán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Balasi couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Cresencio came out of the goal and Maximiliano Rafe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Rafe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Flautateam getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ceferino Lapurdi hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Pelayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paco Gerlen made a great header on Fray Luis Beltrán's corner, it was just that Flautateam's Osvaldo Cresencio managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 95th minute, Eliseo Henrico fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Osvaldo Cresencio, passed just outside the right post. Fray Luis Beltrán's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
