The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfredo Arce got free with Damian Trzaskoma in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FEYENOORD Sporting's Damian Trzaskoma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Arce in the 21st minute of play. Damian Trzaskoma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Damian Trzaskoma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugenio Laurin went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. FEYENOORD Sporting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barni Lattapiat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Damian Trzaskoma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Inter's Ubaldo Paulin got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score was now 4-0. 43 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Arce recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Damian Trzaskoma. Wilfredo Arce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelo Rubio to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Rubio couldn't finish the play.
