In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metal Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Rigoberto Fiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isidoro Majluf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Raymon in the 14th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Lixandro in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidoro Majluf saved Racing Club from getting behind. Racing Club's Isidoro Majluf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Lixandro in the 19th minute of play. Guido Monico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Metal Fútbol Club's Epifanio Modestio got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. Guido Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gregorio Pelagius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Pelagius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Fiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Racing Club's Guido Monico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rigoberto Fiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Metal Fútbol Club's Rigoberto Fiz got control of the ball when Guido Monico tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Metal Fútbol Club's Jairo Santxol got a free kick in the 48th minute. Rigoberto Fiz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 50th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leopoldo Calvino. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Epifanio Modestio made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeronimo Alvarez during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Racing Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Metal Fútbol Club:s goal. The goalkeeper, Isidoro Majluf, was totally fooled by Metal Fútbol Club's Jairo Santxol, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Metal Fútbol Club booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerson Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Metal Fútbol Club's Epifanio Modestio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidoro Majluf narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Epifanio Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Guido Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lino Corderun during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Metal Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Corderun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guido Monico struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Rigoberto Fiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club.
