The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aquilino Fidensio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Fernando Peyo made a huge save. Fernando Peyo was a little too slow when Domingo Luzaide got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Fernando Peyo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobos Fútbol Club's Aquilino Fidensio. But to his dismay, Aquilino Fidensio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 14 minutes into the match, Generoso Guib had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Peyo. Durazno FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Generoso Guib was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquilino Fidensio got free with Fernando Peyo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Peyo came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobos Fútbol Club's Carolo Lauren. But to his dismay, Carolo Lauren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Lauren in the 22nd minute of play forced Durazno FC's goalkeeper Fernando Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Lauren came free, but Fernando Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Peyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Lauren in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Carolo Lauren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Peyo. The goal made the score 6-0. Durazno FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Carolo Lauren scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Peyo, making the score, 7-0. After 42 minutes, Vladimiro Urtzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Durazno FC and the Lobos Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernando Peyo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Carolo Lauren sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Peyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Guib, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Generoso Guib made the kick off in the second half. When Arturo Ihazintu fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durazno FC's protests and gave Arturo Ihazintu a yellow card for diving instead. Arturo Ihazintu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 51 played minutes, Lobos Fútbol Club's Domingo Luzaide shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernando Peyo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lobos Fútbol Club reached it. Elvio Gartxot kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Fidensio in the 56th minute of play forced Durazno FC's goalkeeper Fernando Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Generoso Guib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Peyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Lauren came free, but Fernando Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Peyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Fidensio in the 71st minute of the match. Fernando Peyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Generoso Guib went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Fidensio came free, but Fernando Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Lobos Fútbol Club booed when Durazno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Urtzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Lobos Fútbol Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
