If Gilberto Manilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39th minute, Iosif Mălaimare left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tatón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Higinio Ferran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Mălaimare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Higinio Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Mălaimare in the 44th minute of play. The Lomitas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tatón were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iosif Mălaimare to make the kick off.
