Salto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Vallgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 4 minutes into the match, Haroldo Montxo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiburcio Birjaio. Salto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Montxo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tiburcio Birjaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Paskal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Beti hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Andreas Vallgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Hodei having to interfere. Jesus Paskal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiburcio Birjaio having to make a save. If Haroldo Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jesus Paskal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Salto getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Genaro Lauaxeta hit a great ball. Jesus Paskal might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiburcio Birjaio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesus Paskal ran back to his position shaking his head. Eulalio Medero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tiburcio Birjaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freddy Gumaro kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Jesus Paskal might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiburcio Birjaio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesus Paskal ran back to his position shaking his head. A very nice done corner allowed Gualterio Berenguer to score against Tiburcio Birjaio in Salto's goal. 0-3 after 34 minutes. After 37 played minutes Salto got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Barea. After a defensive mix-up in Salto's zone, Jesus Paskal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Birjaio came out of the goal and Jesus Paskal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salto's Tiburcio Birjaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Paskal in the 42nd minute of play. If Haroldo Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Paskal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

CHAMIS FC's Jorge Carrascal got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salto's Tiburcio Birjaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Salto from getting a goal against them. After 57 played minutes Salto got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Gumaro. In the 58th minute, Jesus Paskal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CHAMIS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 60th match minute, Salto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rocky Boxler to maneuver through the defense. Jesus Paskal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Birjaio having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Mauricio Baristo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristides Hodei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Fe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Fe in the 67th minute of play forced CHAMIS FC's goalkeeper Aristides Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Hodei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Vallgren in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute of the match Salto got a corner. CHAMIS FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Freddy Gumaro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Jesus Paskal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tiburcio Birjaio. That made the score 0-5 in the 77 minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Haroldo Montxo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiburcio Birjaio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Jesus Paskal put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Tiburcio Birjaio. Tiburcio Birjaio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jesus Paskal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 92 minute of play. If Haroldo Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CHAMIS FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
