Ulises Rosio's late challenge caught a EAU FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, 孟银迅 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Etxeberri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Aldo Etxeberri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孟银迅, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 44 played minutes EAU FC got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Jaume. Humberto Theobald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Montrell in the 45th minute of play. The Lepra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aldo Etxeberri should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Celso Giro fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lepra's protests and gave Celso Giro a yellow card for diving instead. Aldo Etxeberri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. In the 85th minute, Baltasar Miro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EAU FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. In the 89th minute, Filiberto Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ciro Erasto fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EAU FC's protests and gave Ciro Erasto a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Erasto hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, EAU FC's Aldo Etxeberri threw himself towards the right post 98 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Otsando Llantaron, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
