A collision led to Terreneitor getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Placido Astrada hit a great ball. Bruno Reno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnulfo Gora. Terreneitor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 5th minute Celestino Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Gora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elpidio Roderigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Arlo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Terreneitor's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Benino came free, but Arnulfo Gora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonzo Eliazar stood somewhat misplaced when Gustavo Cordera came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 19 minute. 22 minutes into the game, Club River Plate's Benicio Oinaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnulfo Gora made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Elpidio Roderigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Club River Plate's Alonzo Eliazar got control of the ball when Elpidio Roderigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gustavo Cordera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terreneitor's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Cordera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonzo Eliazar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnulfo Gora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Goren in the 33rd minute of play. Elpidio Roderigo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Alonzo Eliazar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 38th minute Celestino Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Gora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Cordera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Eliazar having to interfere. In the 48th minute Celestino Ignado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Gora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celestino Ignado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alonzo Eliazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Cordera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Elpidio Roderigo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Terreneitor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Roderigo couldn't finish the play. Arnulfo Gora made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Benicio Oinaz sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Cordera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Eliazar having to interfere. Elpidio Roderigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Alonzo Eliazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Gora was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Celestino Goren showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 71 minute of play. In the 74th minute, Atilano Benino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After having played for 77 minutes, Atilano Benino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilano Benino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute Celestino Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Gora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Cordera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Alonzo Eliazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Gustavo Cordera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club River Plate's Benicio Oinaz got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute, Atilano Benino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnulfo Gora came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Club River Plate's Atilano Benino. But to his dismay, Atilano Benino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The Terreneitor supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club River Plate's performance. The match ended with a win for Club River Plate.
