After 7th play minutes Maximiliano Inocente shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Efthimis Karkavilas and just under the crossbar into goal. 9 minutes into the game, Nicasio Eduino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuchilla the free kick. Nicasio Eduino hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cuchilla's zone, Ignacio Etxepare stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Iago came out of the goal and Ignacio Etxepare tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efthimis Karkavilas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Tomi in the 21st minute of the match. Epifanio Iraitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efthimis Karkavilas having to interfere. Vladimiro Foro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Inocente in the 26th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Efthimis Karkavilas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Epifanio Iraitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Efthimis Karkavilas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Boca Juniors's Efthimis Karkavilas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Tomi in the 34th minute of play. Honorio Quirze hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Maximiliano Inocente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Epifanio Iraitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Epifanio Iraitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Efthimis Karkavilas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes of play, Cuchilla's Epifanio Iraitz made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Efthimis Karkavilas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Efthimis Karkavilas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Inocente in the 63rd minute of play. Boca Juniors's Efthimis Karkavilas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Inocente in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Cuchilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Sotero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Epifanio Iraitz got free with Efthimis Karkavilas in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Cuchilla's Maximiliano Inocente dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Efthimis Karkavilas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Tomi in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Etxepare in the 84th minute of play forced Cuchilla's goalkeeper Alejandro Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Cuchilla's Efthimis Karkavilas threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximiliano Inocente, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cuchilla played a much better game than Boca Juniors and deserved their victory. The Boca Juniors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
