In the 17th minute, Leandro Cebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Gibson might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filomeno Geleberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Gibson ran back to his position shaking his head. Roger Gibson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Filomeno Geleberto made a huge save. Zacarias Cesaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Lizbeth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Leandro Cebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Arturo Urko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Cesaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desiderio Belasko to make the kick off. With a little luck, Senillosa's Zacarias Cesaro got control of the ball when Manuel Lizbeth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arturo Urko's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zacarias Cesaro firmly grabbed it by the left post.
