La Floresta's goalkeeper Eustaquio Claris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mario Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Claris having to interfere. Mario Polo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. Capillas AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in C. A y B. La Floresta's zone, Mario Polo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Claris came out of the goal and Mario Polo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Eusebio Orzaize made a precise shot to the right of Godfredo Munio. Capillas AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 45th minute, Capillas AFC's Joaquin Tirso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of C. A y B. La Floresta booed when Capillas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Nesor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebio Orzaize struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Godfredo Munio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A y B. La Floresta. The audience was convinced that Mario Polo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustaquio Claris was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Rodrigo Froila might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eustaquio Claris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
