Spectators: 7392 (Terracing: 5739, Seating: 1501, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rene Illart started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baldomero Guib in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Gomez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 3 minutes, Baldomero Guib made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Soconcho's Anselmo Gomez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Feliciano Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Guib got free with Anselmo Gomez in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Urbano Abaunza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soconcho's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbano Abaunza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aytaç Bartu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Soconcho's Jonas Beltxe seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jonas Beltxe the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Soconcho protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonas Beltxe had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Jonas Beltxe kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When Herminio Beltza came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Soconcho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herminio Beltza couldn't finish the play. Blas Cristos kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Rene Illart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Rene Illart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Gomez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Illart in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Soconcho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rene Illart was slow to take the kick. During this time River plate's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Rene Illart almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Soconcho's Anselmo Gomez did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomero Guib in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Gomez saved Soconcho from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herminio Beltza to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, River plate's Benedicto Heriberto got a free kick in the 55th minute. Anselmo Gomez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Guib in the 57th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Feliciano Micael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Gomez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Guib in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Rene Illart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Gomez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Illart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Soconcho's Herminio Beltza got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, Soconcho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Gomez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Guib, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute Herminio Beltza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aytaç Bartu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Rene Illart ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselmo Gomez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
