RIVER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Margarita the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of RIVER:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santa Margarita:s goal. Gonzalo Orixe placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 36 played minutes Santa Margarita got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Orixe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niki Lauda in the 37th minute of play forced Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witomir Pisarczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Witomir Pisarczyk made a kick off. The referee ignored Santa Margarita's protests and gave Gonzalo Orixe a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Santa Margarita got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Orixe. Marcial Lordi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 95th minute. Santa Margarita's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
