When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Roland Tolnay put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ziemowit Wierzbicki. Quijano FC were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Camarón Bombay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Norberto Ciceron took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dieguito Van Der Kuijlen in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ziemowit Wierzbicki saved Quijano FC from getting behind. If Dieguito Van Der Kuijlen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Gartzen in the 45th minute of play forced Quijano FC's goalkeeper Ziemowit Wierzbicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rene Houseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
