Stefan Gutić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vuk Leposavić in the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FK Banja's zone, Vuk Leposavić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Gutić came out of the goal and Vuk Leposavić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vuk Leposavić struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Stefan Gutić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obrenovac FK. After some careless play in the FK Banja defense, Zoran Beljanski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Gutić. The FK Banja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Gutić should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of FK Banja:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Obrenovac FK:s goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vuk Leposavić to strike the kick off in the second half. Obrenovac FK's İlmi Ongunsu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Obrenovac FK from getting a goal against them. After having played for 59 minutes, Šćepan Rujnajić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Banja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Šćepan Rujnajić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kuzman Rukavina charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kuzman Rukavina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
