Žarko Ševaljević was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 7 played minutes Kulpin OFK got a freekick which was hit by Novak Kapris. After 11 minutes, Srđan Beljić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kulpin OFK and the FK Garaže players grew even worse after the yellow card. Willie Whitlock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milorad Marković in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Vasilije Miladinović was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kulpin OFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Garaže the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Kulpin OFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasilije Miladinović to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Žarko Ševaljević managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when FK Garaže's Siniša Nikčević fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Milorad Marković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Willie Whitlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FK Garaže's Willie Whitlock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Srđan Beljić in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Siniša Nikčević in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Žarko Ševaljević prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Siniša Nikčević could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Žarko Ševaljević made a huge save. 40 minutes into the match, Kulpin OFK's goalkeeper Žarko Ševaljević had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siniša Nikčević. After having played for 48 minutes, Vasilije Miladinović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kulpin OFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasilije Miladinović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Siniša Nikčević to make the kick off. If Samuel Etxekopar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to FK Garaže getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Samuel Etxekopar hit a great ball. Srđan Beljić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Willie Whitlock made a huge save. Slobodan Janković kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to FK Garaže getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Miroslav Dujaković hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Kulpin OFK defense, Staniša Vorkapić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Žarko Ševaljević. The Kulpin OFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Žarko Ševaljević should have stopped the shot. Bogosav Raspopović came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Willie Whitlock could save by the left post. Žarko Ševaljević stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Siniša Nikčević's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Bogosav Raspopović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kulpin OFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 92nd minute, Dojčin Dabanović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Milorad Marković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie Whitlock having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Kulpin OFK got a freekick which was hit by Bogosav Raspopović. The audience was convinced that Siniša Nikčević's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Žarko Ševaljević was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
