Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Uglješa Bekan struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Rajko Šurbatović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sombor. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rajko Đinđić sped through Novi Pazar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rajko Šurbatović. 11 minutes into the match, Sombor's goalkeeper Dejan Maričić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radmilo Gostimirović. Radmilo Gostimirović who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Dejan Maričić when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Novi Pazar's goal looked a bit too open when Uglješa Bekan came free, but Rajko Šurbatović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Novi Pazar booed when Sombor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saša Jakšić didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 18 in the game by Radmilo Gostimirović from a close distance when the talented Dejan Maričić managed to make a qualified save. Sombor's players were relieved. In the 20th minute, Stojan Višelavski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sombor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Dejan Maričić made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Radmilo Gostimirović sent off a good shot on target. Rajko Šurbatović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uglješa Bekan in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Novi Pazar got a freekick which was hit by Dragan Križmanić. In the 34th minute Rajko Đinđić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rajko Šurbatović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Sombor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uglješa Bekan to maneuver through the defense. Vukajlo Ćetić's late challenge caught a Sombor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vukajlo Ćetić helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sombor booed when Novi Pazar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vukajlo Ćetić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Stojan Višelavski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Novi Pazar's Rajko Šurbatović was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Radmilo Gostimirović could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Dejan Maričić however easily saved by the left post. Dejan Maričić was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Radmilo Gostimirović capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Radmilo Gostimirović really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2.

Veljko Majstorac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dejan Maričić having to interfere. Rajko Rajović charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rajko Rajović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sombor's Rajko Rajović got a free kick in the 54th minute. Sombor's Dejan Maričić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radmilo Gostimirović in the 57th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Sombor got a freekick which was hit by Uglješa Bekan. The audience was convinced that Radmilo Gostimirović's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dejan Maričić was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 64 played minutes, Sombor's Marinko Tanović shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rajko Šurbatović came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sombor reached it. With a little luck, Novi Pazar's Rajko Šurbatović got control of the ball when Rajko Đinđić tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rajko Šurbatović made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Stojan Višelavski sent off a good shot on target. Radmilo Gostimirović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute of the match, Stojan Višelavski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rajko Šurbatović was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Uglješa Bekan took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Rajko Šurbatović to make any attempt to save it. Rajko Šurbatović stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Uglješa Bekan's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Dejan Maričić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radmilo Gostimirović in the 90th minute of play. Rajko Šurbatović made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Rajko Đinđić sent off a good shot on target. Rajko Šurbatović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uglješa Bekan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dejan Maričić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veljko Majstorac in the 98th minute of the match. When the match was over Sombor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Novi Pazar throughout the match.
