Rastislav Đalović came out of the goal and Živorad Višekruna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Vojin Kalušević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zlatosav Čolović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zlatosav Čolović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vojin Kalušević, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Slaviša Kračković kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Rajko Danilović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bačko Novo Selo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rajko Danilović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vojin Kalušević to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Bačko Novo Selo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dojčilo Ninkov to maneuver through the defense. Todor Čađenović took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zlatosav Čolović. Bačko Novo Selo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ostoja Jovanović might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zlatosav Čolović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ostoja Jovanović ran back to his position shaking his head. Rastislav Đalović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rajko Danilović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dojčilo Ninkov during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bačko Novo Selo's Zlatosav Čolović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ostoja Jovanović in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ostoja Jovanović in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zlatosav Čolović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rastislav Đalović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rajko Danilović, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
