Corryn Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rhisiart Cottle in the 3rd minute of the match. Mabsant Dunn scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fercos Finnegan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12th minute Berwyn Gilbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corryn Harris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ector Duckett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fercos Finnegan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ector Duckett in the 18th minute of the match. Ector Duckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fercos Finnegan having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mabsant Dunn in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fercos Finnegan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Berwyn Gilbert struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Corryn Harris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knighton FC. In the 29th minute, Mabsant Dunn made a precise shot to the right of Fercos Finnegan. Knighton FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 36 played minutes UWA Aberystwyth got a freekick which was hit by Lionel Horton. A collision led to Knighton FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Rhisiart Cottle hit a great ball. UWA Aberystwyth's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dafydd Groom in the 46th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Lionel Horton heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After the first half UWA Aberystwyth were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berwyn Gilbert to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Knighton FC's Baudwin Avery got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 58th match minute, Knighton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anwar Earley to maneuver through the defense. UWA Aberystwyth's Dafydd Groom shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 60th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fercos Finnegan but with some difficulty. Baudwin Avery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Aglovale Goderich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berwyn Gilbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Fercos Finnegan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Baudwin Avery put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Corryn Harris. If Anwar Illingworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Dywel Ledger put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of UWA Aberystwyth:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Knighton FC:s goal. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Knighton FC. Anwar Earley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Corryn Harris. 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UWA Aberystwyth eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
