Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Berwyn Gilbert got the match started through his kick off. Pawl Luther received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Fercos Finnegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Gwyn Culpepper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bridgend FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwyn Culpepper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fercos Finnegan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rhisiart Cottle kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Berwyn Gilbert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gwres Fergus. Bridgend FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berwyn Gilbert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Knighton FC booed when Bridgend FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradwen Copeland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baudwin Avery's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gwres Fergus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Baudwin Avery managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knighton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baudwin Avery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwres Fergus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Baudwin Avery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwyn Culpepper made a kick off. Knighton FC were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Bridgend FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anwar Earley took the corner. The corner ended in Anwar Earley almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bridgend FC's Gwres Fergus did a great save. Gwyn Culpepper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Berwyn Gilbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gwyn Culpepper came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Bridgend FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwyn Culpepper couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bridgend FC's goalkeeper Gwres Fergus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baudwin Avery could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Gwres Fergus made a huge save. A collision led to Bridgend FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Pawl Luther hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Berwyn Gilbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwres Fergus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baudwin Avery could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Gwres Fergus made a huge save. Baudwin Avery took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gwres Fergus. Gwres Fergus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Anwar Illingworth hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Gwyn Culpepper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fercos Finnegan having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berwyn Gilbert in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gwres Fergus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Knighton FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Knighton FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
