Gwres Drummond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Maesteg. Gwres Drummond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teregud Essig in the 8th minute of the match. Gwres Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teregud Essig in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Teregud Essig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gwres Drummond was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teregud Essig in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gwres Drummond saved Llangollen Utd from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Teregud Essig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Llwyd Foster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Powell Collis hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Brathach Leggott left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UWA Maesteg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 28 minutes in the game, Llwyd Foster dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 31 minutes into the game, UWA Maesteg's Llwyd Foster nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gwres Drummond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Gwallter Fergus took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Goreu Kempster to make any attempt to save it. In the 44th minute, Taffy Gilboy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gwallter Fergus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Powell Collis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half UWA Maesteg were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Tor Whitster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gwres Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llwyd Foster in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Powell Collis in the 54th minute of play forced UWA Maesteg's goalkeeper Goreu Kempster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Gwallter Fergus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goreu Kempster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Gwallter Fergus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Goreu Kempster was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Llwyd Foster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Gwres Drummond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Powell Collis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Goreu Kempster having to make a save. Llwyd Foster might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gwres Drummond. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Llwyd Foster ran back to his position shaking his head. If Teregud Essig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Powell Collis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Goreu Kempster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwallter Fergus in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd of the match, Llwyd Foster tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gwres Drummond got in the way and made a wonderful save. The supporters of Llangollen Utd booed when UWA Maesteg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taffy Gilboy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Llangollen Utd's Powell Collis made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Goreu Kempster was left in no man's land by his defense there! Powell Collis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Goreu Kempster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Llangollen Utd were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of UWA Maesteg for a fine match.
