Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Duach Heaton made the kick off which started today's match. Duach Heaton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Powell Collis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Llangollen Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Powell Collis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iddawg Ingersoll breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwallter Fergus in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iddawg Ingersoll saved Ely from getting behind. Gwallter Fergus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Iddawg Ingersoll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kian Coffee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th match minute, Llangollen Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lot Feltner to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Llangollen Utd booed when Ely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robat Connell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Llangollen Utd's zone, Kian Coffee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwres Drummond came out of the goal and Kian Coffee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ely's Duach Heaton got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ely booed when Llangollen Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teithi Connell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Gwallter Fergus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tor Whitster hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ely's Caerwyn Henley tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwallter Fergus in the 52nd minute of play forced Ely's goalkeeper Iddawg Ingersoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 played minutes Llangollen Utd got a freekick which was hit by Iddawg Hayden. Gwres Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kian Coffee in the 57th minute of play. If Gwallter Fergus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Price Allard during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ely's Price Allard got a free kick in the 64th minute. Powell Collis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalldav Coffee during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ely getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dalldav Coffee hit a great ball. Duach Heaton struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gwres Drummond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ely. Duach Heaton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gwres Drummond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kian Coffee took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gwres Drummond. Gwres Drummond dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 95 played minutes Llangollen Utd got a freekick which was hit by Ol Griffin. 96 minutes into the match, Llangollen Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Duach Heaton came free, but Gwres Drummond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ely's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
