Nerthach Keely got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 9th match minute before Melkin Dunn had time to react. Newlin Hooley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Melkin Dunn. UWA Beaumaris's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nerthach Keely in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melkin Dunn saved UWA Beaumaris from getting behind. The UWA Bridgend fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when UWA Bridgend's Nerthach Keely looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 26 minutes, Nerthach Keely managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Bridgend's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nerthach Keely was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ifor Doney's late challenge caught a UWA Bridgend's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ifor Doney helped the player get up and apologised. UWA Bridgend's Nerthach Keely got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Nerth Chase had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gwevyl Brin. UWA Bridgend's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nerth Chase was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Melkin Dunn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pwyll Folds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nerth Chase was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, UWA Bridgend's Gwevyl Brin got control of the ball when Brys Lindley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Melkin Dunn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nerthach Keely's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Pwyll Folds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Melkin Dunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nerth Chase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gwevyl Brin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brys Lindley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nerthach Keely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 played minutes, UWA Bridgend's Newlin Hooley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Melkin Dunn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UWA Bridgend reached it. Melkin Dunn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nerthach Keely in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melkin Dunn saved UWA Beaumaris from getting behind. 90 minutes into the game, Nerthach Keely cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Melkin Dunn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. UWA Bridgend walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
