The UWA Bridgend fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when UWA Bridgend's Nerthach Keely looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 33rd match minute, UWA Bridgend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gusg Higgin to maneuver through the defense. When Pedr Huckaby fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Bridgend's protests and gave Pedr Huckaby a yellow card for diving instead. Dewey Coffee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nerthach Keely, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 39 minutes, Bleddyn Knox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Bridgend's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bleddyn Knox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gwilym Johnson to make the kick off. UWA Bridgend's Bleddyn Knox got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pwyll Folds recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bangor's zone, Nerthach Keely stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dewey Coffee came out of the goal and Nerthach Keely tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bleddyn Knox got free with Dewey Coffee in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nerthach Keely's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Dewey Coffee skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gwevyl Brin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kynedyr Finneran, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Kynedyr Finneran took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gwevyl Brin. Gwevyl Brin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With an all-out effort, UWA Bridgend's Dewey Coffee threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nerthach Keely, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 73 minutes into the game, Penn Dowdall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Dewey Coffee was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nerthach Keely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Gwilym Johnson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bangor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwilym Johnson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 85 played minutes, UWA Bridgend's Newlin Hooley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dewey Coffee came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UWA Bridgend reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nerthach Keely in the 86th minute of play forced Bangor's goalkeeper Dewey Coffee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nerthach Keely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gusg Higgin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nerthach Keely received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dewey Coffee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over UWA Bridgend could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bangor throughout the match.
