Spectators: 6779 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Iona Clerk took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Pelles Herrington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anyon Barney made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Pelles Herrington sent off a good shot on target. After 8 minutes, Maxen Blencow made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Newtown's Calcas Jack tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iona Clerk in the 11th minute of play forced Newtown's goalkeeper Calcas Jack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, UWA Llangollen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Madoc Kenna fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Anyon Barney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Madoc Kenna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Maxen Blencow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Calcas Jack was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 23 played minutes Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Dillus Kay. Bedyw Asa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. UWA Llangollen's Iona Clerk got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pelles Herrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Anyon Barney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxen Blencow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Calcas Jack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. UWA Llangollen's Clyde Duncan pulled a muscle in his back after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Madoc Kenna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Newtown booed when UWA Llangollen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iona Clerk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lludd Fielding took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anyon Barney. UWA Llangollen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Calcas Jack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxen Blencow in the 58th minute of the match. Madoc Kenna succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelles Herrington in the 64th minute of play forced UWA Llangollen's goalkeeper Anyon Barney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Madoc Kenna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Newtown's zone, Gwern Abrams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calcas Jack came out of the goal and Gwern Abrams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Madoc Kenna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Madoc Kenna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Anyon Barney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pelles Herrington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anyon Barney having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, UWA Llangollen's goal looked a bit too open when Pelles Herrington came free, but Anyon Barney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pelles Herrington struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Anyon Barney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newtown.
