Granwen Goff charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Granwen Goff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montgomery Utd's goalkeeper Gwallter Puddler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Rhun Barnett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nynnyaw Linkletter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Rhun Barnett managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Aberystwyth's supporters rose to their feet, but Rhun Barnett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwallter Puddler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Nynnyaw Linkletter fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gwallter Puddler, passed just outside the right post. In the 48th minute, Rhun Barnett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nynnyaw Hanauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edern Gaughan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Montgomery Utd's Celyn Harper got a free kick in the 90th minute. UWA Aberystwyth's Rhun Barnett got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nynnyaw Linkletter scored 2-1 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gwallter Puddler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. UWA Aberystwyth were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Montgomery Utd for a fine match.
