Rhisiart Saddler went to the wrong direction when Selwyn Dorsett was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cairn Elkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhisiart Saddler having to interfere. Tristram Copp made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Selwyn Simmons sent off a good shot on target. After 26 played minutes Porth got a freekick which was hit by Merlin Adrain. After having played for 33 minutes, Cairn Elkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caerleon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cairn Elkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cairn Elkins in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rhisiart Saddler saved Porth from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Puw Handley in the 37th minute of play forced Caerleon FC's goalkeeper Tristram Copp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Puw Handley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Porth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Caerleon FC's Tristram Copp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Caerleon FC from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Puw Handley made a kick off. A collision led to Porth getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tomos Darwin hit a great ball. If Selwyn Simmons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rhisiart Saddler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ardwyad Brent, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Puw Handley in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tristram Copp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ardwyad Brent's late challenge caught a Porth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ardwyad Brent helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Caerleon FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ardwyad Brent hit a great ball. Puw Handley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tristram Copp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selwyn Simmons in the 84th minute of play forced Caerleon FC's goalkeeper Tristram Copp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Puw Handley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Selwyn Simmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristram Copp having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomos Darwin in the 91st minute of play forced Caerleon FC's goalkeeper Tristram Copp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Gwawl Knollys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Puw Handley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cairn Elkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rhisiart Saddler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Porth were victorious despite being under pressure from Caerleon FC for much of the match.
