A collision led to Rhyl getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Barris Coalman hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Jestin Halton sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rhyl's Lug Benedict didn't even have to move. Lug Benedict made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Lot Doran sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute Neb Lovelady shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lug Benedict saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neb Lovelady in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lug Benedict, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lot Doran took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lug Benedict. Lug Benedict dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a little luck, Rhyl's Lug Benedict got control of the ball when Lot Doran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rhyl's goalkeeper Lug Benedict, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lot Doran got free with Lug Benedict in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the game, Neb Lovelady recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lug Benedict. Neb Lovelady showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Lug Benedict showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neb Lovelady in the 35th minute of the match. Rhyl's Lug Benedict proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Rhyl from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Neb Lovelady managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Wales's supporters rose to their feet, but Neb Lovelady was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lug Benedict breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Lug Benedict showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neb Lovelady in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Llacheu Fishman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the game, Neb Lovelady cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Lug Benedict was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neb Lovelady blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lug Benedict having to make a save. Lug Benedict showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neb Lovelady, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Lot Doran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lug Benedict having to interfere. Lot Doran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lug Benedict showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neb Lovelady, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neb Lovelady in the 96th minute of play forced Rhyl's goalkeeper Lug Benedict to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Rhyl's goal looked a bit too open when Neb Lovelady came free, but Lug Benedict reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
