A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rhett Berry struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Gandwy Hawker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neath. Gandwy Hawker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Collen Forsyth went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 16 minutes, Anfri Dack mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caerleon FC and the Neath players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caerleon FC's Anfri Dack got a free kick in the 16th minute. 0-2 became the score in the 17th minute when Collen Forsyth elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sayer Hitchcock took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gandwy Hawker. Gandwy Hawker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gandwy Hawker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Collen Forsyth, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Collen Forsyth might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gandwy Hawker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Collen Forsyth ran back to his position shaking his head. Rhett Berry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Drew Doney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Neath getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Sayer Hitchcock hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Drew Doney made the kick off in the second half. Rhett Berry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 54 minutes into the match, Caerleon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Collen Forsyth came free, but Gandwy Hawker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Caerleon FC's Gandwy Hawker got control of the ball when Sayer Hitchcock tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caerleon FC's Gandwy Hawker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Collen Forsyth in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Drew Doney in the 71st minute of play forced Neath's goalkeeper Mabon Keelan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Collen Forsyth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gandwy Hawker having to interfere. Collen Forsyth's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Gandwy Hawker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Sayer Hitchcock was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. 85 minutes into the match, Rhett Berry notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Caerleon FC's Gandwy Hawker. Gandwy Hawker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Caerleon FC booed when Neath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Collen Forsyth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cadfael Brackeen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mabon Keelan. Neath's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caerleon FC's goalkeeper Gandwy Hawker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Neath left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Caerleon FC.
