Denbigh's Kynon Foltz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Barry defense, Trefor John kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Greidyawl Bray. The Barry fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Greidyawl Bray should have stopped the shot. Barry's Greidyawl Bray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garwyli Higgler in the 33rd minute of play. Trefor John received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Greidyawl Bray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Ifor Wainwright cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Greidyawl Bray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Greidyawl Bray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ifor Wainwright made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Barry booed when Denbigh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trefor John didn't get a good kick on the ball.
