A very good chance. Peterculter's Gavin McDaniell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Lemond in the 6th minute of play. Ewan Low fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony McIock having to interfere. Jack Dinwoodie kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, MacKenea City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ewan Low came free, but Tony McIock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavin McDaniell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arthur Garrow in the 13th minute. With an all-out effort, MacKenea City FC's Gavin McDaniell threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Malcolm Lemond, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tony McIock was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ewan Low helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Peterculter got a freekick which was hit by Ewan Low. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm Lemond in the 26th minute of play forced Peterculter's goalkeeper Gavin McDaniell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, MacKenea City FC's Gareth Duffus got a free kick in the 37th minute. Peterculter's Vinny Burnes was substituted for Ewan Low. The supporters of Peterculter booed when MacKenea City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gareth Duffus didn't get a good kick on the ball. The MacKenea City FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peterculter were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lloyd Holden to strike the kick off in the second half. Vinny Burnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Tony McIock made a huge save. Kenneth McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peterculter's Gavin McDaniell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Dinwoodie in the 66th minute of play. Gavin McDaniell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Lemond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Larry Henderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Tony McIock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, MacKenea City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Garrow to maneuver through the defense. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peterculter would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
