Christopher McLaine charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christopher McLaine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christopher McLaine hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy Coulson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phillip McAuslan made a kick off. A collision led to Laurencekirk AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tyler McHarold scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Logan Carrigan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Alloway fans cheered their team off the field, for while Laurencekirk AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
