Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christopher Gilfillan kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Strathcarron City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christopher Gilfillan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Graeme Harperson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Strathcarron City's Neil McBaxter got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 15th minute, Troy Abrahams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Abbie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Kean having to interfere. Graeme Harperson struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Quentin McInally didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bishopton. In the 22nd match minute, Strathcarron City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Gibb to maneuver through the defense. Adrian McAulay charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian McAulay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christopher Gilfillan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Quentin McInally tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Bishopton's goal looked a bit too open when Shaun Purcell came free, but Rod Kean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Wayne McIock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bishopton getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Adrian McAulay hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Angus McKenzie sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bishopton's Rod Kean didn't even have to move. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shaun Purcell made a kick off. When Charles Abbie came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Strathcarron City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Abbie couldn't finish the play. Rod Kean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Purcell, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Duncan Dewar's late challenge caught a Strathcarron City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duncan Dewar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Bishopton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duncan Dewar to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Lewis Brieve shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rod Kean showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 70th minute Graeme Harperson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quentin McInally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Graeme Harperson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bishopton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Graeme Harperson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bishopton fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Strathcarron City. Angus McKenzie stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rod Kean. 1-2. The Bishopton supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Strathcarron City's performance. The match ended with a win for Strathcarron City.
