Kieran McCaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sid Cross in the 15th minute of the match. Harold McCodrum struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Kieran McCaul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glasgow. Kieran McCaul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold McCodrum in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Denny's zone, Sid Cross stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieran McCaul came out of the goal and Sid Cross tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kieran McCaul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harold McCodrum went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Gordon McDuff fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marc McCraken, passed just outside the right post. Gordon McDuff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Marc McCraken made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Gordon McDuff managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denny's supporters rose to their feet, but Gordon McDuff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc McCraken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sid Cross scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kieran McCaul, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Denny players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Glasgow were winning 0-2.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Denny:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Glasgow:s goal. Harold McCodrum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glasgow's supporters rose to their feet, but Harold McCodrum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Glasgow eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
