The wind increased when Christopher Gilfillan made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Denny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavin McGorry to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute of the match Callum McLucas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kieran McCaul skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon McDuff in the 60th minute of play forced Bishopton's goalkeeper Rod Kean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bishopton's goalkeeper Rod Kean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Bishopton defense, Gordon McDuff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rod Kean. The Bishopton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rod Kean should have stopped the shot. Gordon McDuff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Gilfillan couldn't finish the play. Bishopton's Rod Kean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordon McDuff in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute Gordon McDuff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rod Kean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rod Kean didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gordon McDuff went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Denny were the better team. Denny's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
