Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) Rod Neilson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ronan McCammon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Gullane getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Matt McBurie hit a great ball. Linlithgow's Thomas Cunningham couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gullane. Cameron Menzies hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 13 minutes of play, Gullane's Rod Neilson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jake McKillop was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16thth minute of the game Rod Neilson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linlithgow's Jake McKillop was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Rod Neilson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jake McKillop. Linlithgow's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rod Neilson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jake McKillop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rod Neilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rod Neilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Bruce Sporran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linlithgow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gullane the free kick. After a rather tough play, Linlithgow's Bruce Sporran got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jake McKillop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Russell in the 46th minute of play. The Linlithgow players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gullane were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Ronan McCammon made the kick off in the second half. Michael Coutts hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Bruce Sporran came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Linlithgow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Sporran couldn't finish the play. Matt McBurie kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Ronan McCammon scored 1-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andy Graham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rod Neilson in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jake McKillop saved Linlithgow from getting behind. 87 minutes into the match, Linlithgow's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Neilson came free, but Jake McKillop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronan McCammon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mike Russell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Jake McKillop when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Gullane supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gullane would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
