The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Finlay Ainsworth during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Patrick Jameson came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Turriff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Jameson couldn't finish the play. Neil Luke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Euan Robison was a little too slow when Taylor Frizell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Kelburn United's Neil Luke got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Troy McChruiter's late challenge caught a Kelburn United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Troy McChruiter helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes Turriff got a freekick which was hit by Troy McChruiter. The supporters of Kelburn United booed when Turriff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Kendrick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jay Simson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Adrian Kendrick hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Euan Robison made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Neil Luke sent off a good shot on target. Kelburn United's Brandon Cole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Jameson in the 27th minute of play. If Ciaran Hossack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Jameson made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Turriff got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Jameson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciaran Hossack got free with Brandon Cole in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Euan Robison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Luke, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ciaran Hossack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Brandon Cole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Kelburn United getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Matt Ambrose hit a great ball. Brandon Cole took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Jameson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Taylor Frizell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lee Enrick's late challenge caught a Kelburn United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lee Enrick helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes Turriff got a freekick which was hit by Lee Enrick. Euan Robison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taylor Frizell, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 84thth minute of the game Taylor Frizell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Turriff's Euan Robison was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Neil Luke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Turriff defense, Neil Luke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Euan Robison. The Turriff fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Euan Robison should have stopped the shot. Kelburn United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
