The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sam McLennan made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Black & Green Kiwis's goal looked a bit too open when Evan Robison came free, but Andrew McGoun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 52 minutes into the match, Bonnybridge's Kieran McLardy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrew McGoun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Samuel McDiarmid kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. If Evan Robison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. Kieran McLardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jimmy McBaxter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Andrew McGoun successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bonnybridge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
