An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyler Monach in the 26th minute of play forced Pitlochry's goalkeeper Jake Robson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim McVurich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rupert Buchanan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keith Lemond in the 35th minute of the match. Mark Connelly might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jake Robson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mark Connelly ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Robertson in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jake Robson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pitlochry's Jake Robson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Robertson in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbie Abbott to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robbie Abbott in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rupert Buchanan saved Clackmannan from getting behind. Rupert Buchanan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbie Abbott, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Jake Robson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Robertson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. James Robertson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jake Robson having to make a save. In the 91st minute, Mark Connelly reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jake Robson. The goal made the score 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Robertson in the 95th minute of play forced Pitlochry's goalkeeper Jake Robson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pitlochry's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
