Mark Masterson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Connor Beadle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Campbeltown FC's Connor Beadle got control of the ball when Mark Masterson tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mark Masterson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wally McKeggie to strike the kick off in the second half. Les McConnechy made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Taylor McSween sent off a good shot on target. Mark Masterson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Euan Knox fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballygrant City's protests and gave Euan Knox a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Ballygrant City got a freekick which was hit by Euan Knox. After having played for 59 minutes, Taylor McSween managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campbeltown FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taylor McSween was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Les McConnechy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wally McKeggie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes Ballygrant City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stephen Wright who took care of the corner kick. When Mark Masterson came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ballygrant City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Masterson couldn't finish the play. Mark Masterson scored 1-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Connor Beadle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Euan Knox kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Taylor McSween had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wally McKeggie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ballygrant City players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
