Spectators: 6961 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1961, VIP seats: 0) Brandon Murchie made the kick off and thus started the match. After 4 minutes, Jacob Alexander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Appin City and the Maccaulich FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Maccaulich FC booed when Appin City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Alexander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Norman McWalrick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Appin City's Sean Lennie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute, Finlay Muir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norman McWalrick in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sean Lennie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alisdair McMath got free with Edward Fostar in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the game, Alisdair McMath recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edward Fostar. Alisdair McMath showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Norman McWalrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sean Lennie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Derek Grewar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Lennie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes, Norman McWalrick made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Appin City's Sean Lennie tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29thth minute of the game Norman McWalrick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Appin City's Sean Lennie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Derek Grewar took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sean Lennie. Sean Lennie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Jimmy Lyall charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimmy Lyall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sean Lennie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman McWalrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Tam Wilson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Sean Lennie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norman McWalrick scored 1-5 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sean Lennie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Maccaulich FC's Norman McWalrick in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Appin City's goalie prevented a goal. Appin City's Sean Lennie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman McWalrick in the 46th minute of play. Sean Lennie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman McWalrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norman McWalrick stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Maccaulich FC's Johnny Clyne got a free kick in the 50th minute. Derek Grewar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Lennie having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Norman McWalrick's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sean Lennie was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. A collision led to Appin City getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Stephen Neal hit a great ball. When Tam Wilson fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maccaulich FC's protests and gave Tam Wilson a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Maccaulich FC got a freekick which was hit by Tam Wilson. Norman McWalrick struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Sean Lennie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maccaulich FC. Sean Lennie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Clyne in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Norman McWalrick recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sean Lennie. Norman McWalrick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sean Lennie having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Maccaulich FC's Malcolm Johnstone got a free kick in the 77th minute. Maccaulich FC's Norman McWalrick got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Appin City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Johnny Clyne scored to the left of an out of position Sean Lennie, making the score, 1-7. After 87 played minutes Maccaulich FC got a freekick which was hit by Norman McWalrick. Derek Grewar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Lennie having to interfere. Sean Lennie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norman McWalrick's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the match was over Maccaulich FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Appin City throughout the match.
