Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paddy McBain took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Jo&Jo ™ booed when Iona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Lonie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Craig Duthie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Frizell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th match minute, Iona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamish Cavanagh to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes Iona got a freekick which was hit by Taylor Coulson. Richard Frizell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Duthie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Craig Duthie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Frizell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 24th minute, Craig Duthie made a precise shot to the right of Richard Frizell. Iona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Les Gillies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Craig Duthie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iona's Richard Frizell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry McAllan in the 32nd minute of play. Hamish Murdoson kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Richard Frizell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Duthie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taylor Coulson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Hamish Murdoson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taylor Coulson kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Jo&Jo ™ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Hamish Murdoson made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Raymond Lonie made a precise shot to the right of Andrew Combie. Jo&Jo ™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice moves Craig Duthie could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Richard Frizell however easily saved by the left post. With 60 minutes on the clock, Alex Barbour commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Iona:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jo&Jo ™:s goal. If Taylor Coulson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamish McTier charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamish McTier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Lonie in the 67th minute of play forced Jo&Jo ™'s goalkeeper Andrew Combie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jo&Jo ™ getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Les Gillies hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Paddy McBain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Frizell. Iona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paddy McBain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 81st minute, Brandon McKiggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Les Gillies struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Richard Frizell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jo&Jo ™. 87 minutes into the match, Iona's goalkeeper Richard Frizell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Craig Duthie. Jo&Jo ™'s Les Gillies got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Terry McAllan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Richard Frizell was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Paddy McBain capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paddy McBain really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4.
