Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gil Porto started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Gimonde booed when Ponta Do Pargo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Amado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipólito Eanes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Gil Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Pimentel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Porto in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Gimonde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipólito Eanes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Gil Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimonde's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Pimentel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th match minute, Ponta Do Pargo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Soares to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Porto in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jairo Pimentel saved Ponta Do Pargo from getting behind. When Gimonde's Gil Porto in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ponta Do Pargo's goalie prevented a goal. Nivaldo Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sérgio Freire to strike the kick off in the second half. Nivaldo Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Moura having to interfere. Nivaldo Madureira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jairo Pimentel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After some careless play in the Gimonde defense, Sérgio Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonçalo Moura. The Gimonde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonçalo Moura should have stopped the shot. After 71 minutes of play, Ponta Do Pargo's Nivaldo Madureira made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gonçalo Moura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jairo Pimentel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Porto in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Gimonde's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Freire came free, but Gonçalo Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nivaldo Madureira took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonçalo Moura. Gonçalo Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Sérgio Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Pimentel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Porto in the 82nd minute. Lázaro Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Ponta Do Pargo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Amável Borges fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
