After a defensive mix-up in Mytrecos FC's zone, Romão Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Henriques came out of the goal and Romão Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Paiva during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nuno Paiva hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Álvaro Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Salgado having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Paiva in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Salgado saved BorussiaDoutroMundo from getting behind. With a little luck, Mytrecos FC's Ricardo Henriques got control of the ball when Fábio Magalhães tried to sneak it across the goal line. Álvaro Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Salgado having to interfere. Rodrigo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Mytrecos FC's Ricardo Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Pádua in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Joaquim Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the game, Laurentino Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BorussiaDoutroMundo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mytrecos FC the free kick. Mytrecos FC's Ricardo Henriques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Mytrecos FC from getting a goal against them. After 34 minutes of play, BorussiaDoutroMundo's Laurentino Silveira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Henriques was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Mytrecos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pádua came free, but Ricardo Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Adão Mendes in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mytrecos FC's Miguel Rocha. Rodrigo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Álvaro Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Álvaro Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mytrecos FC's Ricardo Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Magalhães in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Nuno Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mytrecos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 70 in the game by Álvaro Mendes from a close distance when the talented Rodrigo Salgado managed to make a qualified save. BorussiaDoutroMundo's players were relieved. Nuno Paiva got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-2 in the right cross in the 71st match minute before Rodrigo Salgado had time to react. After a defensive mix-up in BorussiaDoutroMundo's zone, Nuno Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Salgado came out of the goal and Nuno Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Álvaro Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rodrigo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Álvaro Mendes got free with Rodrigo Salgado in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
