Lapeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alexandre Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lapeira FC's protests and gave Alexandre Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lapeira FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Alexandre Ramos hit a great ball. Ricardo Malheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lourenço Coelho in the 18th minute. If Alexandre Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lourenço Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ricardo Malheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Lourenço Coelho made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lourenço Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Lourenço Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cruzeiro's Ricardo Malheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lourenço Coelho in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Malheiro saved Cruzeiro from getting behind. The Lapeira FC fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Lapeira FC's Lourenço Almeida looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Lourenço Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Lourenço Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lourenço Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ricardo Malheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
