When André Gueifão came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the S.C. FARENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Gueifão couldn't finish the play. Jorge Silva came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Badim FC's Jacob Trigueiro. But to his dismay, Jacob Trigueiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Joaquim Moniz lost his temper 18 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Tomé Candeias shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Fabiano Frois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Donato Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Silva having to interfere. Jorge Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Trigueiro in the 32nd minute of the match. Jorge Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Frois in the 33rd minute of play. Daniel Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Gueifão in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st minute, João Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Gueifão might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Gueifão ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Amadeu Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Nascimento having to make a save. After 61 minutes S.C. FARENSE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomé Candeias who took care of the corner kick. Badim FC's Tomé Candeias was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Silva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. André Gueifão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Amadeu Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Nascimento having to interfere. Daniel Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
