Abraveses FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC MöntesLáDeBaixo the free kick. In the 4th minute, one of Abraveses FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Abraveses FC. The referee gave FC MöntesLáDeBaixo a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by João Moniz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Abraveses FC's Januário Prestes. 0-1. Abraveses FC's Januário Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Oliveira in the 9th minute of play. If Miguel Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Januário Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Januário Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute of the match Oliveira Campos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Januário Prestes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the game, João Baptista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Januário Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miguel Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Januário Prestes having to interfere. Abraveses FC's Januário Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Baptista in the 27th minute of play. When FC MöntesLáDeBaixo's Miguel Borges in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abraveses FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Abraveses FC! 35 minutes into the match, FC MöntesLáDeBaixo's goalkeeper Vítor Assunção had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Macena. João Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, FC MöntesLáDeBaixo's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Soveral came free, but Vítor Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half FC MöntesLáDeBaixo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Soveral to make the kick off. If Catarino Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Abraveses FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Miguel Borges fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Abraveses FC's Januário Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Abraveses FC from getting a goal against them. Vítor Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Alexandre Soveral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Assunção. FC MöntesLáDeBaixo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Soveral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 70 minutes, Oliveira Campos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC MöntesLáDeBaixo and the Abraveses FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes FC MöntesLáDeBaixo got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Campos. In the 72nd minute of the match Miguel Aragão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vítor Assunção showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vítor Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Soveral, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Catarino Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Januário Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Catarino Oliveira ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 77 minutes, Miguel Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MöntesLáDeBaixo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Abel Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Catarino Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Januário Prestes. Abraveses FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Catarino Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Catarino Oliveira in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Januário Prestes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vítor Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Soveral in the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Catarino Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MöntesLáDeBaixo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC MöntesLáDeBaixo's Miguel Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC MöntesLáDeBaixo played a much better game than Abraveses FC and deserved their victory. The Abraveses FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
