Tabua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rolica FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tabua FC's Rui Dantas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Simão Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Sobral having to interfere. The Rolica FC fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Rolica FC's Heitor Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Sacadura in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Simão Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Sobral. Rolica FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Tabua FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
