Joel Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. João Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Leiria charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Leiria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joel Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armindo Vieira to make the kick off. After 62 minutes, Armindo Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soza FC and the Rumeleira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rumeleira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute Armindo Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Joel Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Garcia. Rumeleira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 73rd play minute Joel Dias came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised João Garcia. 0-4. 85 minutes into the game, Cláudio Ramos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Carlos Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. João Garcia made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Joel Dias sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Sousa in the 94th minute of play. After having played for 98 minutes, Cláudio Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rumeleira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Rumeleira FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Soza FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Soza FC.
