An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Henriques in the 15th minute of play forced Sporting CP's goalkeeper Ivan Peralta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Sporting CP's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Pires came free, but Ivan Peralta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jaime Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Boza's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Henriques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Peralta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Peralta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Henriques's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting CP's zone, Jaime Henriques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Peralta came out of the goal and Jaime Henriques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Manuel Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Peralta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Pires in the 57th minute of the match. Ivan Peralta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Sporting CP defense, Diogo Gueifão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Peralta. The Sporting CP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Peralta should have stopped the shot.
